Reflection for the Day: God Expects Godly Traits

Paul shared both the need for leaders and a criteria for choosing them. It was made clear that before one can lead others he must be able to lead himself in a Godly manner. God expects Godly traits from all especially those that lead.

It is interesting to note that the term leader is seldom used in scripture. What is used is servant as in "Moses my servant". The true leader of God's people first leads himself and then with Godly traits is an example to the believer. Strive to live in a manner that you might bless others.
