Morning Reflection

Luke 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

Thought for the Day: Yesterday’s Prayer Will Be Heard Today

Reflection for the Day: The Answer Comes On God’s Timing Not Our’s

In two weeks we will be celebrating the birth of our Lord. Knowing God’s Word, we are aware that there first had to be a voice crying out in the wilderness. John the Baptist had to be born. The story of the Lord’s forerunner is exciting. He was an answer to a prayer that had been prayed years prior. It had been so long that Zacharias and his wife Elizabeth had given up hope. They learned through the visit from the angel that yesterday’s prayer could be answered today. Time matters not to God, He answers when He chooses to do so.

You, no doubt, have prayed prayers that seemed to be ignored by God. So many years have past that surely there was no reason to expect an answer. The fact is that God chooses when and how He wants to answer. The timing totally belongs to Him. Be assured that your confidence need not be cast away. Hold on to it for there is a reward coming.
