Reflection for the Day: You Have Been Set Free To Live Holy

The scripture allows us to understand the response of Jesus to the woman who was caught in sin. After cautioning those that were quick to attack the woman, Jesus speaks kindly, but firmly to the woman. You have been forgiven, but you must not continue in sin. Forgiveness is not a license to sin.

In each of our lives we are recipients of God’s mercy. We must be careful not to confuse forgiveness with a license to sin. We have been called to live holy. As you remain grateful for His mercy, stay committed to walking in obedience to God’s Word.
